My name is V.K. Shah and I love to edit. Editing is a form of storytelling and it makes me appreciate film making everyday. I work hard to bring a fresh edit to any show I work on. To me, a show that is edited well is a show that where you don't pay attention to the editing, you are so absorbed in the story that you feel something for it at the end. Your audience will never know that the editing is bad, they will just feel like something is wrong. I pride myself in thinking like the audience. I watch all of the footage at the beginning and end of the edit, I like test screenings, and I edit from different points of views. I work well with producers and directors to make sure their vision is carried out while at the same time adding my angle. I want to make the audience remember the film and talk about it.
I have a lot of knowledge in all areas of post production which I utilize in independent films. I work with all types of productions and I use my technical knowledge to keep the film streamlined throughout post production.
